Biochemistry Concept Question

Hi all,
I had a question about DNA, mRNA, tRNA and codons. I was doing the mcat practice questions and I seem to be getting this one set of questions wrong.
The question is: The three base sequences listed below are DNA sequences. Using the figure 7.5 (attached), which amino acid is encoded by each of these sequences, after transcription and translation?
  • GAT:
  • ATT:
  • CGC:
  • CCA:
My thought process was the make 5'mRNA3' from the DNA sequences they gave, which gave me....
  • GAU
  • AUU
  • CGC
  • CCA
Then I looked at the Codon chart, and got the following answers
  • Asparate
  • Isoleucine
  • Arganine
  • Proline
However, the Kaplan answer key says (I also attached a picture of this)
  • Isoleucine
  • Asparagine
  • Alanine
  • Trytophan
    • It seems to be that these are the codons from tRNA. But please correct me if I am wrong. I just need a bit of clarification in this subject. Thanks in advance for all your help. I am not understanding where kaplan is getting their aa from.

The RNA transcript will be built 5' -> 3' with respect to the RNA, antiparallel to the above DNA
3'---A-5'
3'--UA-5'
3'-CUA-5'

RNA 5'->3': AUC
