what is a good source to use for biochem? During class, I used Lippincotts. But i'm wondering if that is way too much information. I really doubt that I will be able to read all that info before the boards along with all the other subjects. So I was thinking either brs or rapid review. Any suggestions?

Have you had a chance to look at RR Biochemistry? I would recommend it especially since you have been through Lippincott's.

It's been a struggle for me to find the best resource. I think this is the second time Mesoderm has recommended RR for biochem, but the other resource that I've seen been given praise is the Kaplan notes. Everything I've read on this site says that you are correct in thinking that Lippincotts is too much to use as a board review book- I'll likely be using it and textbooks as references in conjunction with whatever board review source I end up using.

im in a similar position as the OP....had lippincotts for class but really didn't have time to read more than a few chapters...just finished first semester of MS1 and am currently going back and reviewing coursework from first semester using first aid...

im a bit weak on the pathways so im probably gonna have to go back and read lippincott unless there is a good alternative....from what i've heard if you read lippincott from cover to cover you're set but that is probably overkilling it and you dont really have the time to do so...

I really liked BRS for biochem-I actually used it as my primary text for my biochem class and I plan to use it again for step 1.
