I've done a couple Biochem Q's that had answer choices of:
-"Hypoglycemia and hyperlipidemia"
-"Elevated lactate and uric acid"
Are these sets of answer choices indicative of any certain type of metabolic disorder? For example, is hypoglycemia + hyperlipidemia indicative of a problem with gluconeogenesis, or lipolysis? Is elevated lactate and uric acid a nonspecific finding for impaired glycogenolysis?
Thanks.
