Quick Question - which class do you guys think is better to take?

The bio department offers Cellular Biochemistry
The chem department offers Biochemistry

Both classes have organic II as a pre-requisite. Are both considered biochem, or do med schools prefer the biochem from the chemistry department?

Thanks!!!!!!

Maybe ask the Bio and Chem departments what the difference is? They are probably fairly the same. Also, call a few of the med schools you're applying to and ask them. Its easier to ask people on SDN, but its best to ask the schools themselves.

One very good reason to ask the med schools themselves is this: at my school my lovely health professions advising office tells the pre-meds that they don't need a particular organic chemistry lab. I was suspicious, wrote to a few of the schools I applied to, and the med schools told me I did need it.

Biochem is fun!
