Does anyone know of any schools that require 2 semesters of Biochem? So far I've only seen a couple of schools that require 1 semester.

Also, I have to take a Biochem class next semester and I'm deciding between biochem and human biochem. Anyone have any suggestions as to which would be better? Obviously, human biochem seems more applicable, but since I'll have to relearn it anyways if I get into med school should I just go the normal biochem route and possibly learn some more underlying concepts?

Thanks

I thought biochem was assumed to be already human? Whats the difference in the course descriptions you have?

What the hell is the difference between biochem and human biochem? Is one offered by the chemistry department and one by the biology department?

I'm not even aware of schools that split biochem into two semesters. At least not the biochem for bio majors.

Biochem is biochem in living systems, and human biochem is biochem with an emphasis on medical applications... that's what the description says hehe. And yeah my school has two semester biochem mostly for biochem majors. I originally wanted to take the two semester track, but there was a scheduling conflict.
