Hey yall,
I'm studying for pcat on october with kaplan, and i wanted to know if biology problems on pcat are as detailed as what they say in kaplan.
Especially endocrine system, there are too much detailed terms...
do i have to memorize all that?

Yes, you must know it all. Haha, just kidding. I thought the Kaplan book was a little overkill on the endocrinology, but they severely lack in microbiology. I would study basic micro and not focus so much on which hormones are released from which glands like the Kaplan book suggests!

Would it be safe to skip the plants stuff? (Not photosynthesis of course) but other boring info.

Out of all the books which book covers Microbiology the best or similar to that of the PCAT?

Also for Organic Chem since they added more of it on the PCAT?

You really don't need to study any Micro. Best study tool for O Chem???? Your old O Chem textbook.

What do you mean by you don't really need to study any Micro? The questions on Micro were that basic or there weren't many questions on Micro?

Old OChem book but what specifically? So far nomenclature and basic reactions (addition, elimination, nucleophilic, etc.). What other stuff from OChem would be on it?

I don't remember any Micro.

OChem---study nomenclature and basic reactions. Everything on there is pretty basic.

I was wondering how indepth does the pcat go on spectroscopy. Like with the IR, what kind of bond stretches should i be able recongnize (C-H) (O-H) (C=O) (C-N)?... and should i review 13C NMR, and 1H NMR..... like splitting and integration and chemical shift.... ?
