The only prerequisite courses I have left are Biology I and Biology II. I was looking at taking a series course on the biology of cells, animals, and plants, which all the schools I have contacted say would fulfill the requirement. But of course when it came for my turn to register (had to register later since I am a new student at the CC) the class was already full 🙁. After taking a look at other classes that are offered there is a General Biology 160 course that includes a lab. Would schools count this as one of the biology courses if I were to take that course and then take the first two courses of the series? I have emailed schools about it but I need to sign up tonight, so any thoughts or help would be great, Thanks 😀

I took Intro to Biology (4 units) and Microbio (4 units), semester-based classes. All the schools that I contacted in LA accept those courses, including the schools whose prerequisites require Bio I and II. Definitely register for the available classes; you can drop them in a week or so and get a refund, right? In case your PT schools tell you that they do not accept that course. ?

Thanks for the reply! And that is what I was kind of thinking of doing. I was just going to sign up for that course and keep my waiting list position for the other. Also thanks for informing me that the schools did accept your courses. From what I have researched it should count. I just wish Washington state would do semesters...we still do quarters meaning I'll be 2 credits shy of the prerequisite making me take a third course, not cool!

i would totally email the professors of the classes that are full. Occansionally they can squeeze in an extra student. At my CC, they seem to be able to do this. My motto is it NEVER hurts to ask. The worst they say is no....

Thanks for the suggestion! But I already have emailed the professors and they all said that their hands are tied due to the waiting list...I agree though it was worth a try!
