Hello

My major is Biomedical Engineering, and I simply have no room to take Gen Bio 1 + 2. The BME department claims that 90% + of medical schools accept Our Physiology 1 and Physiology 2, as well as our Cell/Micro for Engineers class as a substitute.

How true is this? Will I be fine in applying at most med schools having taken Phsio 1 + 2 but no bio classes? I know I'm gonna have to bust my ass for the MCATs to learn the Bio, but as far as prereqs for applying, do you think it'll be fine?

From a layman's perspective (by all means don't take my word alone as the truth) I'd say that physio I & II won't cut it for much more than 10% of med schools. If possible I'd do one semester of physio along with cell-bio/micro. Then I'd say you're approaching 90%.
