How much biostats are really on this thing? It's a weak point for me, but it seems that studying it is just extra time that I don't have, and I can't make sense out of it anyway.

If you don't know it, then it would be pretty high yield to study it.

Especially since there are probably 2 or 3 questions on it per block according to most people I have talked to.

Biostats is probably worth spending a little time on -- it's mostly just about knowing definitions (specificity, sensitivity, PPV, different types of bias, etc) and thinking logically. It's pretty crammable, so I think even a couple hours would be a good investment of your time.

There are enough biostats questions that its worth the small amount of time you have to put into studying for them. Just make sure that you are comfortable enough with remembering and solving the equations required by questions from whatever question source you are using.

Biostats is full of high yield concepts, and there aren't that many of them.

Also, it's one of the few things that will return on Step II, so learning it pays off twice.

It was enough on my test. The only biostats q's were ones testing the most basic concepts.

i had lots of stats on mine, but as others have said, it was all pretty "basic". FA is probably sufficient, and i think QBank did help some. in particular, i had to calculate specificity and relative risk on my test, so make sure you can crunch numbers with a 2x2 table.

its mostly just simple add/subtract/multiply/divide math--why risk losing points on that stuff? take your hits in biochem and the like...

Make sure to fully understand the normal distribution curve, too.

On my test last week I had probably one biostats question per block (at most). Two were really hard and I gave up on them and the other few were easy. I didn't spend much time on it and covered the main concepts. Knowing confidence intervals will probably get you one or two on the test.
