I am bit worried about BlackBody radiation topic. I followed ExamKrackers which did not cover that. So I was wondering if any gurus here can suggest as to what exactly should I focus on. Any links to school sites/wikipedia would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The passages on the MCAT on black body radiation require little to no outside knowledge. I will admit it was one of the harder passages on the July PS, but studying the concept (beyond the basic principle behind it) won't do you much good.

but what would you need to know about it to be able to answer the passage? what types of equations would you use, or would those all be given? if so, what made it difficult?

You sound like a crazy pre-med... and I am as well... so I don't blame you... but you have to realize that most of the passage topics are not testing the topic. That may sound weird but hang with me for a second. On my MCAT there was a given scenario concerning black body radiation, accompanied by a table delineating information extrapolated from an experiment. Basically the latest MCAT administrations have been a test of comprehension. Yes... the passage was about black body radiation, but it was more so about observations concerning an experiment with black body radiation and from that you had to decipher certain information. What students can't stand is the fear of the unknown, but that is exactly what the MCAT has become. You could have studied black body radiation until you were blue in the face, but the passage was hard because the information that you needed to use to answer the questions was presented in a very awkward/confusing manner. The MCAT is made to make you feel uneasy, so you have to get used to that. Sorry I couldn't help anymore than that.
