Click the red logo and then click USMLE practice test link. You have to set up a login/password first which isn't a big deal. Hope this helps.

has anyone taken this test before? Is it any good?
I have taken the test and feel it is representative of the actual difficulty level and question format of the boards. If you want to see whether you got a question right or wrong you can click view status. You do not get any explanations just a cumulative percentage. I took it twice and found it as useful as finding another 350 qBank questions.

Easier than qbank in my opinion...although I wish I had seen this test two weeks ago. there were three word-for-word copies of questions from COMLEX in the first 100 questions.
The story is that the Blackwell questions are written by students who have taken the USMLE in the past. Take that as you will... with so many other sources out there, I chose to stick w/ the professionals.
Incidentally some of my classmates who took the Blackwell test said there were typos and errors which made it both annoying and a little suspect.

I accessed the program over a month ago and thought it was more like the usmle than other sources, but yeah it had a few typos and a few really ridiculously picky questions. I would go back and look over some of the questions now, but I can't access the page at all, and I haven't been able to for at least a month! 😕
I just took it today, with no problems.
Take everything you can. The blackwell practice test is very worth the 2/3 of a day it takes. I haven't taken the Kaplan simulated, but my guess is that if you are using qBank and plan on completing it, everything else is icing. If you only have time for either one I cannot offer an opinion as to which is better. Sorry if I didn't exactly answer your question.
I haven't received my Step 1 results yet but I am aware of some SDNer who got an 81 on the blackwell exam and ended up breaking 250 or something like that. There is always some loose correlation but I think a 74% is damn good, and should comfortably place you well above mean if everything else falls into place. Good luck GI!
