Is the blastopore eventually turning into a mouth or anus depending on the organism? I am kind of confused as to what the difference is from a dorsal lip and blastopore.😕

In deuterostomes the blastopore turns into the anus. In protostomes the blastopore turns into the mouth.

You have two lips on your mouth right? Blastopore is also an opening just like your mouth, and has two lips [Dorsal and ventral]. THe funtion of dorsal lip in frog is similar to the function of primitive streak in birds. This is sth good to know.

but the blastopore is just the opening, not to be confused with the blastocoel or blastocyst...blastopore is just the opening to the archeteron...

Blastopore is just an opening to the archenteron which later devops into the primary gut. So the blasopore (opening) is made of the two lips- dorsal and ventral.

BTW- Osims, blastocyst is synonymous with blastula?

neurulation occurs at the dorsal lip of the blastopore.
