How are your schools (if you're on the East Coast) dealing with this "blizzard" the past few days? We actually had class cancelled since Monday, and likely won't have it again tomorrow.

they cancelled class today...however they uploaded last years lectures and told us to watch them because they aren't going to get behind

They did that for us on Monday. But yesterday and today they haven't uploaded anything, and haven't emailed us at all with what we're supposed to be doing (we were actually transitioning between two entirely different topics/subjects . . . today we were supposed to start a new one).

So I really have no idea what to even do at this point, ha.

haha, yeah I'm not really in the mood to study today...probably will just watch the boob tube or go play some football in the snow

We've been canceled since Monday, and doubtful we'll open again before next week. They haven't done anything, and haven't told us how they're going to reschedule. I'm a little worried that they'll axe spring break if we're out all this week. 🙁

The undergrad canceled class today so I'm assuming our classes are canceled as well. Too bad we don't have anything scheduled today in the first place.

we were suppose to have an exam on monday...school has been cancelled since then.

totally sucks. theyve said we're going to have it as soon as school starts up again, and then we'll proceed with school as normal. It's horrible bc everyday we don't know if school's cancelled the next day till at least 630 pm, so we've got not much to do but review, and try not to forget everything.

We've almost got another 15" so i figure we wont have school the rest of this week.

but they probably won't get rid of spring break. i bet they'll add a week onto the end of the year.

That would be very problematic to us second years.

We're not in exactly the same situation (we didn't have an exam on Monday like you), but they've been dancing around actually making a decision on what to do with the week's worth of lectures we're missing and I really don't know how we'll make them up.

Edit: Every question you have regarding membrane potentials and ion flux will involve Cl- ions just to try to "trick" you.

Up here in Erie they won't cancle class even if the city is buried in an avalanche.

Campus has been closed since Monday. Don't know how they will handle it for the pre-clinical peeps, but us 4th years (who aren't on a sub-I) are loving it. Ah, extending the no responsibility for even longer.

Still in school. This one definately hasn't hit us as hard though but Cleveland is the world's worst winter weather city according to Forbes. I heard from students that went to undergrad here that school is only cancelled when the OH governor calls a state of emergency. I think for us they'd just push into some other day they dont' use like we don't have classes on thursdays so theyd push into that or our free weeks for exams/clinical towards the end of each block.

They've handled it by cramming extra lectures in today, holding off on posting any of last year's AVIs (for M2s) until this afternoon when they posted Tuesday's lectures, then sent an email notifying us that we will be making up 3 lectures and 4 small groups in the afternoon next week on top of the regular exam-week schedule.

So, 5 lectures to go through the first time/also master this weekend, along with mastering stuff from two weeks ago, then double-time next week.

Awesome.
