blueprints vs. casefiles for obgyn?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Blueprints but I also nearly failed the shelf so probably case files
Blueprints and I got in the 90-95th percentile on the shelf.

uWiSE (ACOG's qbank) and UWorld are really the best resources.

I agree with uWISE. I used it in conjunction with both Case Files and UWorld.

Both are solid sources. If you're strapped for time CF is probably a better choice as I found it much easier to get through. If you can sit down and actually study then I think BP is superior and definitely more comprehensive.

There are about 7 chapters in BluePrints that are super high yield and will get you a P if you only learn them (most of them are in the OB section). I used BP + UWorld as my core sources and did CF when I had downtime between patients. OB was my highest shelf score by far, 89th percentile while almost every other shelf for me was 67-72 percentile.

Just pick the one you feel more comfortable with. If it's CF you need to know it more inside and out imo as it's less comprehensive. Didn't use UWise because our school didn't have a subscription to it and wasn't about to pay for yet another resource. UWorld was fine though.

Just do UWorld instead and watch OME for context.

At my rotation site the preceptor gave me blueprints and my friend had given me case files. I felt blueprints is too much for how focused you should be. Case files felt too dry and tedious to go through it all.

For the shelf; UWise and CF are probably the best.

did not use either and also didnt do so hot on the shelf. I would pick one (probably blueprint) and line it up with Uworld questions and ACOG. If you want to memorize all of uworld, do zanki and supplement with ACOG questions and do the NBMEs!

APGO UWise questions, and Blueprints to supplement 🙂
