Anybody have recommendations for a set of good small bluetooth earbuds? Lecture is pointless but required and I can't focus on my reading while the professors are droning on. The battery would just have to last for the 4 or so hours of class.

Just sit in the back and wear a hoodie + regular earphones.

Cool, thanks. Yeah I'd do the hoodie thing but our lecture hall is like a sauna.

run the cord through your sleeve and rest your chin on your hand

or

under your t-shirt, through the top, and behind your ear; sit on the contralateral side of the lecture hall so that the side of your face with the bud faces slightly away from the lecturer. Alternately, rest your chin on the base of your palm, so that your fingers are covering the ear.

I actually got those hearos. I use them to sleep because my upstairs neighbor walks around at 5 am and they fall out but I found out that if I tape them on, all's good. They stick out of your ears a little but they make it a lot easier to ignore extraneous sounds.

We use them during tests they are actually pretty nice 🙂

Mine are flesh coloured. Makes them considerably less conspicuous.

Well i believe lectures anyhow shouldn't be missed, as these discussions helps a lot understand the actual point of medicine. Also if you can pay attention to those lectures & note it down somewhere, then i am sure it will help you to get through any semester without much issue. As i believe that there is enough time to have fun but less time to establish self.

I wish I went to med school where you do. I'd say only about 1/3 of lectures at mine are useful. It's just a stupid format to expect a doc to come in and give one lecture a year. Most of them take their high level of knowledge for granted and are incapable of dumbing it down for people who know nothing. Either that or they just want a captive audience to tell about their research.

I wish somebody had just given me brs, pathoma, and 1st aid and told me to study for two years. It would have saved me lots of money and frustration.
