bmpr2 normally functions to regular growth of vascular smooth muscle particular in pulmonary vasculature. as a result, a defect in this would predispose to PPH. that should be all you need to know--I dont know if this is autosomal dominant or recessive however

edit--I changed it from vascular endthelium to vascular smooth muscle after consulting FA. My bad
