Does anyone have a source to find the most recent board pass rates and residency match lists for these schools?

For DOs taking the USMLE step 1 it is 89% (first try pass rate). I don't know about the COMPLEX if that's what you're talking about.


Here's what I know about DO results:

USMLE Step 1: 89%
USMLE Step 2 CK: 93%
USMLE Step 2 CS: 88%
USMLE Step 3: 94%

The most recent data are from 2011 though.

I'm not looking for an overall pass rate, but the pass rate by school. Trying to compare success of each program in preparing students.

I think it is kind of up to each school to share that info with you if they want. Good luck finding it

The schools are VERY secretive about this info. Some also skew their data by not letting their worst student take them immediately.

My own school is >90% first time pass rate. This goes up to >99% for 2nd try test takers. As anywhere, the people failing first-time out are the ones who usually struggle all the way through medical school.

Yeah, I always felt like pass rate was a pretty useless stat to display anyway. Im not super impressed with someone passing boards after two years of schooling directed at excelling at boards.

More telling/impressive would be average board scores, I think. With a big enough class size, and if they would through out outliers, etc, then this could be an interesting evaluation tool for a schools curriculum. Im sure they track it, but I've never seen them share it.
