Did anyone use this INSTEAD of Q-Bank? or did you try to use both, how did you organize your time with that? Also, do you have to do all of the tests in each book or does each test emphasize something else? did you read every answer to every question, or just the ones you got wrong? did you do it timed? what did you think of it?

I used this in addition to QBank. I would not recommend it as a stand alone resource. I learned a lot from it, especially the types of questions where each answer has 5 arrows going every which way. Even though I have the books, I used the software because I hated flipping back and forth to check answers.

BSS Plusses:
- lots of challenging questions
- really good physiology: cardio is almost exactly like NBME questions
- pathology by The Man (Goljan)
- generally excellent explanations

BSS Minuses:
- terrible behavioral (even though they're written by Fadem, they ask things like "what's the most common cause of death among 24-55 year old's" - and the answer will be wrong).
- outdated format, lots of matching
- lots of picky details, much more than we need to know
- software doesn't remember what you did last session so you have to keep the program open for a month.

I'm planning on using it earlier in my studying purely to learn from and using the newer, up-to-date question banks closer to the test.

I know of the BSS books but is there copies of the questions on cd which can be downloaded from someones website. Didn't see them on ebay.
