I wouldn't get 'Board Stiff Too' today. You could probably wait until Sept 26th for 'Board Stiff Three' to be released and get it or get 'too' at a significant discount.

The first half is a quick, light read. Entertaining at times. Obviously I haven't taken my orals yet but I've read it a couple times in preparation for the mock orals my program does. I thought it gave me a good gestalt for how to think about and approach answers. So much of it is common sense that is obvious once someone tells you ... but I've had essentially no formal instruction on how to answer oral board questions so it was good for me.

The second half (practice scenarios) are what you make of them. You could waste your time reading them silently or probably benefit a lot from doing them. I'm convinced that oral board prep is all about repetition and actually speaking the words, preferably to another person. I talk to myself a lot when I'm reading, thinking about how I'd explain that concept to an oral board examiner.

I like the book. But again, I haven't taken the orals so make of my thoughts what you will. 🙂
