Hi. I am a new attending in another specialty. I was heart broken when I didn't match into derm as a medical student and used my back up plan. I am good at what I do buy I have always had a lingering feeling that I should have not gone for the bird in the hand. Now I am an attending and I still feel like I would like to go back and complete a derm residency. I have published in derm and even have a recent publication mixing my specialty and dermatology findings. Is this even something that I should keep considering and pursue? Or am I too far out to turn back? Thank you for your opinions.
