Boards Boot camp Question

I am wondering if anyone on the board could tell me the pros and cons of Boards Boot Camp for step 2. I asked this question a few months back and didn't get any responses so I am trying again.(I am wanting to take my step 2 early spring during my elective rotation time since no comats to study for during that period)

I am debating of using DIT instead but after talking with BBC they basically said that the other companies didn't focus on OMM in the correct manner for this exam and that the USMLE 2 is very different from the COMLEX 2 in forms of content/format?

I apologize for reasking but I am thinking that someone could give me a review
(that would be not nearly as biased as someone from BBC) of this program prior to purchasing it for step 2.

Hey there,

I can't comment on BBC for step 2, but I took their ultra program course for step 1 (after failing it and having to retake it) and I thought it was pretty decent. For step 1, they focused heavily on path which helped to link things together. It was a bit oversimplified at times, but I thought the videos were pretty good. Cons: their qbank sucks! I did about 10 questions and then never touched it again. Instead I did all of comquest and took notes (reviewed my notes the last 2-3 days). As for OMM, their course provides you with a book called "Handbook of OMT Review" and basically goes over it throughout their lecture series (so its spread out throughout the course, not just done at the end). But I think you can even just buy that book separately on amazon if you're only concerned about OMM. Overall, I definitely thought the course was useful for someone who has to retake the boards, but if you did fine on step 1 I don't necessarily see the need for you to get it for step 2. I am personally sticking to DIT for step 2 + uworld + comquest (obviously supplementing it with Savarese and that handbook of omt review book), mostly bc I hear for step 2 you should focus on doing more questions rather than lectures/videos. Just my two cents, sorry this was kind of unrelated to your question specifically about BBC for step 2, but hopefully it helped a little!

hi HopingFM, i am contemplating Boards Boot camp vs. Pass program for comlex step 2, did it work for you? I would greatly appreciate your feedback as it is "do or die" attempt for me this time.
