Hi guys,

For the National Boards Exams, Parts I and II, which one is more important and why?

Also, if you're not sure if you want to practice dentistry in the U.S. or Canada (i'm going to a States school), is it possible to write both u.s. and Canadian board exams? I'm thinking that might be a little hard... How hard is it to change your license from Canadian to U.S. and vice versa?

I'd appreciate any input! 😉

Part I is more important bc that's what decided whether you will get into specialty or not.

Part II is important to pass bc you need it for your state license exam and graduate. So, both of them are important. You need to score well in part I, however, you need to only pass part II.

Only one board exam is enough to kill, I don't think I want to take two exams. However, if u want to practice in Canada, I guess that you have to take the Canadian board. Also, to graduate from your state school, you have to take the US board, right?

hey,

yeah, it'll be really tough studying for both the U.S. and Canadian Board Exams (although, they shouldn't be too different from each other)...

since i'll be attending a u.s. school, they'll probabably prepare me for the u.s. board exam, so that's probably what i'll write. (both parts I and II)..

do you know if it's possible and how hard it'd be to obtain both u.s. and canadian license after i graduate?

thanks!
