Hey guys a couple weeks ago I saw a really awesome topic here from bodybuilding.com. the general premise was that the person who started the topic was an ER doc who was a DO. Provided some really great insight and inspiration and I'm just trying to find it again. If any of you guys have any idea what I'm talking about it'd be awesome if you could post it

I actually really enjoyed that thread. Lots of meatheads trolling him about being a DO and being able to lift more than him but it was still a worthy read. Being a successful dude who is clearly happy with his job and life he can laugh off the DO hate, which is what most practicing docs do.

And he is right, no one is trying to hide the salary of docs, you can google that crap. The title of the thread suggests he is a douche and a braggart about it, but the content of the thread proves he is a pretty humble and just honest guy. He is very encouraging toward people looking to find their way into healthcare and generally the thread has a positive vibe to it.

I'm having such a hard time sticking with this entire thread. It's like SDN on steroids. And all the bro talk is killing me slowly.

First of all he ditched the Porsche for a BMW 5 series of some sort. Second, I'm with MedPR on this one, you gotta get at least a GT2 if you're going for a Porsche. Although he seems to be much more financially smart than car smart so no hate.

I so angry at his refinanced rate. I would just give no fux at all if my fed loan rate was 2%. But alas... why should student loans reflect current market rates... nah... screw the students.

The turbos are nice too.. And the GT3s. The panny turbo s is also a nice family car and probably the only porsche I would get. M5s are nice :) regular 5 series is ok I guess.

Ahh hate the Pans. I guess I see Porsche as a pure sports car company. I hate everything they've done that goes away from those roots. Cayennes are the worst.

If I wanted a family car with sports pedigree I'd look at Audis and Subarus probably. Maybe even Mistu Evos. The 4 door versions of these (especially the Subs and Evos) can still rock and roll.

S for DOs. Turbo for MDs.
Carib: but who was car?

He used to have a turbo, but sold it when he had his second kid. missed the porsche too much so bought the S cause it just wasn't financially feasible at the time to get another turbo. Yeah... I didn't get much studying in last night.

epic thread. thanks for linking it here. i am a little sad i understand all this bro terminology he's throwing.

"I grew up without much and really wasn't interested in school beyond it as a gateway for sports. I always knew I was bright, and did zero studying ever in highschool. I did acrue $800 in book fines as my back pack fell off a ski boat while cutting class to get in some water play."

LOL best post.

Ever driven a Panamera or Cayenne? It'd probably change your mind, especially Turbo :D

Lots of things drive nice. The key is to find one that drives nice and doesn't make you consider vomiting when you look at it.
