What do we need to know about Bohr's Model?

More specifically...

I'm struggling to grasp the concepts of emissions spectra and absorption spectra.

absorption spectra - the unique collection of wavelengths an element's electrons absorb when becoming excited.

emissions spectra - the unique collection of wavelengths an element's electrons emit when returning to normal states.

Is this correct? Someone please help... 😕
