Question from a Kaplan test...

The boiling point elevation constant for water is approximately 0.5C/m. What is the boiling point of the solution when 0.5 moles of NaCl is dissolved in 2000g H2O?

A. 100 C
B. 100.125 C
C. 100.250 C
D. 100.5 C
E. 102.0 C

I think the answer is B, but the answer key says C.

u forgot that NaCl dissociates so adding 1 moles would return 2 moles of solute. the answer is C
