Well I am laughing at myself and also probably shot myself in the foot because today I received some mail from Columbia saying that my check could not be processed because it was made out for $70 and not $75. Obviously not my brightest moment this year.

Lets hear yours

On my UCLA supplemental after I sent it in I was going over it and realized I misspelled caries carries. I have just written them off because I would if I saw that one. The worst thing about it was that it was under my research section on dental caries and xylitol gum. Live and learn I guess.

When filling out the supplemental material for UF, I refered to them as Nova. they must have thought I was dilusional..

My is the worst.
My bio professor has the LOR sample, so he wrote exactly the same for everybody. I did not waive, and here is what i saw on his LOR: "I am confident that X would make a good podiatrist....."

Oh my god, after i saw this, i went to his office hour and cried so hard!!!

Ouch that one is pretty bad, is that this cycle?

LOL a couple:

1) Wanted to get my checks in early so sent em out ASAP! Haha, they were Canadian checks and half of them were sent back/ not processed - and I didn't want to cancel b/c it costs so much per check! AHH! So I'm waiting to hear back from some schools

2) Maryland check was dated 2007 not 2008 😛 couldn't be processed and was sent back! AHAH!

on MWU's supplemental, i called them a brand new school and said that i wanted to be part of their first class, when they actually already have a class lol.

hahaha, that's awesome.

Last Applicatoin cycle I filled out the supplementals.. made nice printed envelopes...Checks were put in there. I thought i was good to go.

About 2 weeks later i started getting the checks back in the mail... i forgot to sign them!!! DUH!.

Ok I am currently looking through secondary materials I sent to schools, and I see some grammer mistakes/ small words missing that hurt the flow...So yeah I messed up on a few. Its not that bad, but I mean it still hurts.

hahah that happened to me too, my professor put: I recommend X to the Mass College of Pharmacy! Good thing my advisor caught it

I was watching "Weeds" when I emailed a school asking about my application status, and for the greeting, I wrote: "Deal Admissions Committee:"

You didn't save after ur final draft...

I know I didn't save..but after just one week, feel like I mispelled..

Now, I am confusing...so..distortion of my memory encoded had occured...

Just don't retrieve that info...forget about it unless u made really big mistakes such as UCLA ---> UCSF (U never know u already did!!)

Just kidding! Take it easy!! But, I can't soothe u anymore if u made such big mistakes...:meanie:

I always hated poetry. I don't know wth this means.

Ok I got another one.

I was checking through all my Dental School e-mails. BAM found one from BU. I never paid the $65 they wanted about a month ago...

So thats now done, although a little late

I can't believe I found another one. Under work experiences, I, for some odd reason, assumed they asked for weekly hours instead of total number of hours. And for a year long experience, I wrote that I only have 20 hours of experience!

In the evaluators section, one of my professors is listed as working for the "University of Califonia, Berkeley" :[

I don't see how that is nearly as bad as others...I'm sure the misspelling wont even be noticed...

I didnt notice it as i was reading the post. I thought maybe you put the wrong school down. Misspell California is nothing.

dammmmn!! so i just got another email from my state school asking me to pay the supp fee. i'm trying to figure out why they're harassing me cuz i sent it a month ago....or so i thought. i went back to my check book...no sign of the check being written. i went to my online banking...no sign of it being cashed.

but i went to my list of all the supp stuff to do and my list of application expenses and it's on both of those!! wtffffffff
so i'm figuring that i marked it before i actually did it and then lost track of it or something. oops
well the check is going out tomorrow so if that original one ever shows up, maybe they'l consider it a donation??? :scared:

Forgot to include some research that I did. Yea, don't ask how you forget something like that, I have no idea. I just sent a letter and a copy of the information to most schools along with my supp. fees. I am sure I have made plenty of mistakes, I just don't want to review my stuff and freak out, haha.

So I was sending a short letter, which mentioned stuff about the summer classes that I took and the grade that I got in them (since I couldnt put it on aadsas), to NYU and Temple and I accidentaly wrote the name of the director of admissions of NYU on the letter I sent to Temple.

Haha I dont really know what to do. I think ill just lay low and just see if they notice...which Im pretty sure they will.

Maybe add me to the list... I'm treasurer of our house so I send a dozen or so bills out per week. Since I'm accustomed to sending bills and accompanying letters in regular sized envelopes, out of habit I sent two supplemental apps (each about 5 pages) trifolded in regular sized envelopes 😳 I doubt admissions committees enjoy unfolding all my essays...

OMG. I sent EVERYTHING in regular envelopes. Did anyone else?

:smack:

who really cares what size envelope it goes into and if its "folded"!! really ppl...

I am pretty sure that almost everyone sent out their applications in regular sized envelopes, thats what mail is all about. If something had to be folded then so be it.

I talked about how great Creighton's post-grad programs are when there is none.

😱 Ortho

😱 Pedo

😱 Perio

No one really, except for that brief flash where you think omg is this some sort of unwritten application protocol that I didn't know about (like that whole thing about how naked pictures help you get an interview faster) and now they're going to judge me forever and ever. And then you realize it's too late to do anything about it, and then you realize that you really don't care either way.

Not quite a bonehead moment I guess, but I withdrew my application from UCSF right after I wrote and submitted the secondary application. Either I shouldn't have applied in the first place, or I should have stuck with it lol. I was in San Francisco and was going to visit UCSF but ended up not going. After visiting UoP, I kinda decided that if I was going to California, that it was Pacific or bust. Maybe I shoulda stuck with my UCSF app to give myself more options? Oh well, money down the drain!
