Hi,

I'm an 3rd year currently interested in radiology and wondering if anyone had any particularly good books to use to expand my reading skills broadly so I don't look totally incompetent during a radiology elective. I know about the Learning Radiology website and the associated book, but I was wondering if anyone had any better book suggestions?

Thanks!

To be honest, the attendings don't care that you are even present for the most part in the reading room. If you talk to them, save it for the laid back ones that you can socialize with instead of trying to get them to teach you. Your residents will be much more helpful with the teaching.

If you are afraid of looking like a dope if an attending pimps you, learning radiology will be enough of a book for most common things. If you get it wrong, they expect it anyway.

many students i know who have already rotated through radiology like squire's radiology text. The images are not as good as I've seen in some other more recent radiology texts, but the discussions regarding the images are pretty decent.

Squire's is thick. For Chest Radiographs use Felsons.
