Book for Step II CS

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I own both SUTS2 2nd edition and MTB 2nd edition.

Although SUTS2 has a lot more information, it is so HARD to read. Imagine the most boring textbook you've ever had to read times ten, and that amounts to how annoyingly boring this book is.

MTB2 is much gentler to the eye (its in color and there is a lot of room for annotations) and a much more enjoyable read, I find it a little lacking in detail - but one thing I learned while studying for Step 1 is that those details are found within UW, not textbooks, so the ample space it has for annotating will serve its purpose well.

Another thing I forgot to mention is thaat MTB2 actually mentions the "best next step in management" that supposedly is asked a lot in the real exam, while STUS2 just mentions a bunch of probable labs/exams that could be used to diagnose the condition

The thread is asking about Step II CS and I think your confusing that with the Step II CK test. As far as the question asked, I've only ever heard of students using the First Aid book and I hadn't really heard any negatives about the First Aid.

You're right! I misread this thread's topic 🙁

Ha - it was a good response, nonetheless, and I agree with everything you've written regarding MTB 2. I've started studying for Step 3, and I actually regret not having read this also prior to Step 2 (which a lot of people actually do).

You should copy and paste the next time some hapless punter writes in asking about the best book for CK as you're right on the money!
