I am going to start my gas elective in san antonio in several weeks and was wondering what the consensus is as far as reading material. Please fire away as far as books that are highly recommended. Thanks!!!

Baby Miller: "Basics of Anesthesiology" or "Clinical Anesthesiology" by Mikalis & Menton

baby miller or clinical anes procedures of MGH

Baby Miller: Brief but dense
Clinical Anesthesiology: Thick paperback but quick read

If you had to choose just one from the two that have been mentioned, which would you go with? (ie, which one is the higher yield). Thanks!

I would start with baby miller. Many programs will have you read it at the start of residency, anyhow.
