Is there a way to bookmark a thread or save it so that it doesn't get lost in the turnover? There must be something more efficient than searching and re-reading that I haven't found yet. 😕

Of course:

Right click on the thread title, click on add to bookmarks (or favorites).

You can also add one to your favorites the normal way. Still works.

Threads have addresses that look like this: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?p=1706865

You want to bookmark that Karate Kid thread, don't you?

Hey Yaah,

I really liked reading your August third entry.

I am on a four month autopsy rotation and it reflects quite a few of my experiences.

Cheers 👍 👍 👍

4 months, yikes. After the 4 months are you done with all autopsies for your residency? Or are your autopsy rotations combined with something else? Our autopsy rotations are just autopsy (although we do placentas and amputations also). I have 4 months during 1st year and then no more.

I was happy the body we had today wasn't a post. Middle aged man with long standing cirrhosis, also status post multiple ex-laps for bowel resections. He must have weighed 300 pounds. That's a bad autopsy combination: Liver failure + prior surgeries = bad adhesions and tons of fluid = complete mess. There is usually some interesting pathology though, although since I've already done like 10 liver failure autopsies out of my 20, I've seen enough.

We do four months autopsy and the rest of the year will be surg path.

THe average for the rotation is between 70 and 80 so I will be done with board requirements after four months.

Its been a pretty good experience so far.
