I'm getting books for the rest of residency. Waiting till September to get the new Perez & Brady. I'm also wanting Nancy Lee's 2nd edition IMRT book, but I'm just wondering if a 3rd edition is going to come out soon? The 1st edition was published in 2012, 2nd edition in 2015, just wondering if there's any whispers of a 3rd edition.

I thought I saw Nancy Lee post on mednet sometime in the past 6 months to a year saying she was working on an update. Who knows when it would come out though.

Anybody know if there is an update to the handbook in treatment planning in radiation oncology in the works?

The one book many of my co-residents have gotten this year is the Essentials of Clinical Radiation Oncology book, and it's super helpful/useful. I think it's the best of all of these books IMO (the downside is that it's temporarily sold out on Amazon right now, but can still order):

The orange book is great (essentials of clinical rad onc) but it doesn't teach you treatment planning.
