is it possible to purchase books before residency begins, and then get reimbursed by your program if they have a book allowance? do i just need to save the receipts?

Please, PLEASE tell me that it's because you can get a smokin hot deal right now, and not that you are going to do some reading before starting up....

Hey, I bought an ACLS book today so I can look over it in preparation for my June class. 😀
I know, it is nerdy, but I am so excited! Hopefully the high won't wear off before start time. 😱

So is anyone going to actually answer the question by the op?

😕 😕

I'm assuming that you're a soon to be intern? If so, given that there's a good chance that the answer varies according to program, why not ask a resident or your pd at the program you matched at?
