Hi,
I am currently sitting on a gpa of 2.75 (or 4.8 in the 7 point scale) after having a disappointing semester dropping from 2.95.
I am wanting to apply for a post-grad med course (which has a requirement gpa of 5 in the 7 point scale, although I understand it is very competitive). I am trying hard not to beat myself up about this semester, but I'm starting to worry that I won't meet the gpa of 5 requirement.
I am half way through my undergrad course. I know I have the ability to do better, but I was wanting to know whether a gpa of 5 is a realistic goal for me? Would I need to average a distinction or high distinction?
Ive also read in the application requirements that the gpa is weighted according to the year of the degree (with the more recent marks being weighted higher), so does this mean that if I boost my marks from now on, I'll have a better chance of getting a higher gpa?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!
