Hey,

So I've had some pretty horrific foot pain for the last week or so. My x ray was inconclusive (maybe beginnings of a pretty bad stress fracture) but the doctor told me to stay in a boot for at least 2 weeks.

I have an interview tomorrow, should I wear the boot or suck it up and wear dress shoes? I don't wanna look like an idiot in a boot + my suit

suck it up.

in all seriousness i feel like wearing a boot with your suit would be a great conversation starter lol. i highly doubt anyone will care and they might even give you points for showing up with a fracture in a boot suit

I'd wear the boot. They are human, and doctors, and so will understand. Just be ready to answer what happened (and don't say you injured it while drunk or something else with bad connotations)

lol it's from running, but thanks guys for the input...still not entirely sure what i'm gonna do

Wear two to even it out. Otherwise you'd just look ridiculous not having on matching shoes.

Wear the boot. You will look sillier limping around in shoes and grimacing trying to conceal your pain than if you just wear the boot and put it all out there.

Make sure your boot is black so as to fall under the business professional category. Gray is widely accepted as only business casual.

😉

My pre-med advisor interviews students every year for a BS/DO program. She told me that one student in particular showed up in a boot, due to a car accident. She said that the boot helped her application because she "stuck out" and impressed her with a can-do attitude. I would own that boot!
