When I use the calculator on bootcamp, I can't get it to recognize the MR MS buttons. I get everything to work fine on my accessories calculator, but I am using a calculator from windows 7. Which is probably a little more comprehensive and responsive. Also on Bootcamp's calculator, to begin a decimal before numbers, I sometimes have to press it twice. For example, If I want to multiply 3/8 * .001, I'll need to divide 3/8 first, then multiply that answer by .001, but if I don't press the decimal button twice after the multiplication button, the decimal won't be recognized and instead multiply by 1. Will it the calculator be as dysfunctional as the bootcamp's calculator for the actual DAT? Thanks!

From what I've heard, every testing center has different calculator.

Or rather every testing center has the same calculators but each with varying efficiency.

Mine worked very well! It just depends on how nice the computer you are on is which sucks

So they use the calculator from the accessories of the computer instead of some standard calculator implemented in the DAT software?

no square roots, just multiply, divide, etc. Its pretty crappy. You wont need it a ton, there are several problems that you can survive without it, which is good because you will likely run out of time on QR anyway. Do the problems you know first and quickly...

No square root? I think boot camp should definitely change that then 😱

I have not taken it yet, but I'm pretty sure there is a square root function. Can someone verify this?

yes, there is square root function on the real one, its the same calculator that's on window xp machines.

It is literally the exact same one from Bootcamp. Like EXACTLY.

And there is square root function on the real one, I don't know what everyone else on here is saying.

No, but I could hear the computer process every command in the silent testing room and it just felt like even though it was the DAT calculator, the computer had a lot to do with it.

There is a square root function as of last week. 🙂
