I completely understand that A is the most stable conformation because the bigger isopropyl group is on the equatorial position, while the smaller methyl group is on the axial group.
So my question is:
From what I recalled, Wedge means "up", and Dash means "down". Since the question contained both wedges, I though the cyclohexane chair formation needs to have both the isopropyl group and the methyl group pointing "up" (option C) even though it is not as stable, and if you want the most stable conformation, I thought it'd look like this- see attached
