Hey guys
Just did the first 7 tests for Bootcamp PAT and I still have a little over a month to go before I take the real thing. My scores are

Test 1/2/3/4/5/6/7
22/21/20/19/20/20/21

Some tests i ran out of time so i guessed on some but others I had like 2-3min. How close are these tests to the real thing?

Thanks!

As close as it gets! Sometimes the real exam is a bit harder, sometimes it's a bit easier.

Ok thanks! I also realized the bc angle generator is easier than on the bootcamp tests. How do those stack up to real thing? And keyholes very similar?

For angles I find that the real deal is more closer to the Bootcamp angles than the generator angles. Generator angles don't rotate as much relative to each other while the real one does -- at least, in my personal experience.

@eugpeng those are good scores for practice!

I was averaging 18-19 on Bootcamp PAT Tests and got a 22 on the real thing. Based on what I have heard from others they tend to do 2-3 points higher on the real thing compared to Bootcamp. That is because Bootcamp PAT prepares you really well. I think you'll be in good shape. Just keep doing what you normally do. Good luck!

I can second that I scored about 3 pts higher on the actual than on BC's free practice test. It wouldn't hurt to give the free qvault PAT test a shot as opposed to mulling over generators. I saw a significant increase in my PAT scores when I utilized multiple PAT sources

oh good idea. didnt even think of that? How did qvaults PAT stack to the real thing? Also, on a totally unrelated note. Did you feel the math section of the DAT similar to dat destroyer qr secton or math destroyer

I did not do DAT Destroyer QR, but I have heard some say that it was more like the real thing. While others (and myself) say that Math Destroyer was the best thing that prepped me for the real DAT QR. I got a 21 in the real DAT QR section and that's because I went through Math Destroyer 2.5 times. First time was untimed (I did awful....and I would spend about 4-5 hours per test and then an additional 2-3 hours reviewing my answers and checking to see if they were right by not looking at the solutions manual. Instead I would try to solve the answers with my notes...and this took forever). Second time through was timed and believe me: I did not remember any of the questions that I had done first time around. I was averaging ~36-37/40 on Math Destroyer. On the real thing I knew that I didn't know at least 4 problems (because I guessed on those) and tried to solve them, but due to limited time I was unable to get the right answer for those. That's why I got a 21 in that section.

I can't tell you if Math destroyer or DAT Destroyer QR is better. I only did one, so my answer is probably not useful. I would say definitely try out Math destroyer if you haven't because it will help you in preparing you for that same QR environment for the real DAT.

It has been a while, and I only took the free test. You may want to confirm what I say with other people who have said things about qvault PAT. One thing for sure is that it is good practice with holepunches. It does things with hole punches that no other testing software does. Any practice with TFE can't hurt. I hoestly don't remember any other sections, but that being said it was probably no 5 star dinner but it wasn't no gas station sushi either. I would rank qvault PAT as like the Taco bell of PATs (oh a taco bell is there? Im hungry, why not). CDP is like buffalo wild wings (great but if you get too much you may get sick of it), topscore is like Chuck E Cheese/golden corral (used to be cool), BC is prolly like Chik fil a b/c it seems like people can't get enough of it.
