Is it me or DAT bootcamp PAT is crazy hard??? I can't get higher than 17-18

I feel the same way. Before I found about bootcamp, I was using Crack the DAT PAT and I was consistently scoring 19+ on CDP. With BC, I am scoring like 17's and 18's.
I haven't taken my DAT yet, so I do not know, for sure, which is more representative of the actual exam.

From what I've read on this forum, keep on doing the DAT bootcamp and your scores will improve (Hopefully... Practice hard). You will be well prepared for the test. If you can get up to 20s on bootcamp, your score will be great on the real DAT

Cheers

Yup, much harder than CDP. I was scoring 17-18s, so I switched to CDP until I got the hang of TFE. When my scores in CDP were 23-25, I switched back to bootcamp and now im scoring 20-21.

My advice would be to hone in on hole punches and cubes since that's something everyone can perfect by practicing hole punching generators and cube generators. Afterwards, keep practicing CDP until you can get the hang of TFE and patterns and keyholes. When you're scoring 20+ go back to bootcamp. Because BC is most representative of the DAT or a little harder, I would wait until 2-3 weeks before the actual DAT to practice bootcamp tests and not waste the tests/read solutions before you have perfected all other areas.

And I say that because if you BC too many times + read solutions, eventually you'll remember the answers for keyholes and TFE, and that might give you a skewed score.

i wasnt really able to break 18/19 for PAT. I really recommend trying to change the order you do the sections
For me it was angle ranking, hole punching, cube counting, pattern folding, keyhole, tfe! I got a 20 on real dat.

Practice those bc generators!

I bought 10 test version of cdp, and ended up only using 4 then switched to bc PAT. I feel like i wasted money on cdp, however it was a good start.

isnt that time consuming? i heard on the actual dat you cant skip over sections you have to click the next button. wouldn't that take up a lot of time?

ohh i didnt know that!! i think im gonna do that because no matter what i do i can never get the TFE questions!!

I was consistently scoring 17/18s on Bootcamp PAT(took 4 tests), but I managed to pull a 20 on the real thing. So, if you keep grinding at it, I'm sure you can pull off a >20 on the PAT.

I started with all Crack PAT then moved on to BC.
I would not worry about it, the keyholes/TFE on BC were completely unrealistic! I would miss at least 9 keyholes and together those two sections would take me 30 minutes or more. On the real DAT they were more similar to the ADA 2009 and CDP.
