Bootcamp pattern folding question?

Isn't A the same as B, if you turn B 180 degrees around?

Count the side rectangles on the nut. 1 side supports 4 and the other side supports 2. answer A supports the correct side.

Secondly fold into the screen without moving the figure.
 
They aren't the same because the front has 4 sides, while the back has 2.



Once you realize that they have different amount of sides, it's simply knowing which piece attaches with the left "4" side.
 
This problem looks challenging, but like all pattern folding questions it just needs to be broken down into manageable parts. Don't try to fold the entire thing in your head. Every question has a trick to it, just look for something unique and use that to eliminate answer choices. KyoPhan pointed out exactly what you need for this question in particular, just count the number of sides and figure out if the tall or short piece would fit there.
