Someone I know pointed this out yesterday. The BC website now says it is on sale for $347 with an original price of $597. When I paid for it this summer it was 350 without being on sale, and it was 250 several months before that without being on sale. Honestly I don't think it is worth $600 and that is crazy because you still need to spend $200 for destroyer.

Here is the link. After 42% "off" its now $347.

I hope that's just a marketing technique and not the actual price. $600 would be absurd. I purchased it for $123.30 a little less than 3 years ago.

Wow. Last year (September 2017) I purchased it for $247. I know some content has been added over the past year but a $100 price increase is a good bit...

I'm using DATBootcamp right now and it's not worth the hype everyone is making it out to be. It's useful but not worth $347 at all. Luckily I didn't have to pay that much since I found people to split the account with lol

DAT is relatively cheap compared to the MCAT sources.

Also, considering Bootcamp is respectably the best source for providing the most similar styles and difficulties of questions of DAT, 350 is a fair price.

How much are mcat courses? I know the mcat is like $120 cheaper than the dat itself and they got three full length practice tests with that I think

Sorry, I am a little late on this post. I agree, that definitely seems like a lot of money to shell out at this point in life. However, in the grand scheme of things, it is a trade-off that I personally think is worth it. Even if you are paying $600 (no sale) versus $350 (summer 2018 price), a difference of $250 is miniscule in comparison to the amount of money you could possibly save by having a more competitive DAT score. For example, people who are attempting to attend an in-state school can save over $100k by getting into that school versus a second, third, or fourth option. In my opinion, Bootcamp is the best source for studying for the DAT (especially when talking about practice exams). While it is entirely possible to get into your ideal school without Bootcamp, I personally think purchasing Bootcamp is definitely worth the price.

DATBootcamp is definitely not the best. There are plenty of materials better than Bootcamp for each section. DATDestroyer is so much better for Gen Chem/ Organic Chem/ QR, Chad's videos is better than bootcamp's Mike's Videos, and PATBooster is much better than bootcamp's PAT (just compare their videos). And Bootcamp's Reading comprehension is not representative to the real DAT in any shape or form.

Bootcamp is still a good tool but not as hyped up as everyone here glorifies it to be :/

That is a fair opinion. Personally, I am a fan of practice exams, so I think that is why I liked Bootcamp the best. I think it is important to find the right resource for you. My point was just that a change in cost is unfortunate but shouldn’t necessarily deter someone away from the product if it is something that they believe can help them cost wise in the long run.

What do you recommend for Reading and Biology?

Price gouging
It went from ~100 to 347 in the matter of a few years with very little change to the main components of course
After getting such high reviews on sdn, he was able to charge whatever he wanted knowing that people will still buy

That's the same principal dental schools are operating under with staggering tuition increases, and yet here we all are.

Although I mainly only used BC for the PAT, he made a great product that is pretty unique on the market. He can charge whatever he wants for it and I don't think $347 is unreasonable for the quality of the website's design and content. Especially if you do well on the DAT by using it, and then it saves you the hassle of not having to retake it

You're right! Dental school costs too much but there already are a lot of threads lamenting this. I'll most likely only apply to IS and cheap schools that offer IS tuition after one year. Vote with your wallet people.

Summer of 2017 I paid $147. He keeps jacking up the price.
