Hey guys, I was wondering how you all scored on your BC practice tests vs how you did on your official DAT. Were the BC scores a good predictor as to how well you do on your DAT?

This is in regards to all the sections on the DAT. I would also really appreciate it if you could post your BC scores & real DAT scores. Thank you!!

My scores varied on BC versus my actual DAT. I used BC more as a practice than anything and used DAT Achiever as my full length test prep. The only things on BC I included as part of a full length tests were the RC and PAT tests since the DAT Achiever ones were pointless. Anyways, on BIO my scores were like 16 and 17 but on test 5 I got a 19. GC was 17/17/18/18/17, or something around that. I never got higher than 18. My OC was 18/18/21/21/18. My RC was 19/19/26/22/20. My QR was 17/17/18/20/less than 16. And my PAT for the last 5 tests which were the ones I took seriously were about 18/18/19/20/20. I may have had 2 19's and only 1 18 but you get the gist of it.
    My Actual DAT scores were:
    19/18/23/25/19/24.

Some of the scores were on point, and some varied. I def should have scored higher on GC but I got a harder version I think because I thought I was going to crush that section. Anyways, good luck!

@ThunderSplash @The Dentanator You guys quite an improvement from your BC scores which makes me feel good!! I also noticed that you knocked RC out of the park!! Do you have any study tips/strategies for that section? I am absolutely dreading RC...

I talk about it in my breakdown but I feel like I had an easy test. I used search and destroy on everything. I only had one tone question and it could be solved using context clues on a single paragraph. Just read something everyday!

Yes, ThunderSplash has the same feeling me. I thought my RC was wicked easy. I have performed strongly for RC anyways but mine was so easy I couldn't believe it. I t was almost suspiciously too easy I thought, which is why I crushed it. And DAT Achiever helped me a lot on the sciences too because it was so hard that it forced you to keep reviewing and learning things. A good tip would be to write down and take notes on anything you have trouble with or get wrong and to continually review it. Also stay confident and trust yourself or you'll spend the exam second guessing yourself, which is only going to hurt you. Good Luck!

There might have been some luck but also skill on your end. I really hope I get a passage w light reading. My test is in about 3 weeks so I've just been focusing on BC and the destroyer. Thank you for the advice :)

My scores on the real test were much higher than my average on BC, which was strange because I felt like BC was easier haha. I also felt like a crushed QR and OChem compared to the other sections.
    BC Test 1/2/3/4 -- Actual
    Bio: 23/17/18/18 -- 22
    GC: 18/19/19/19 -- 23
    OC: 15/17/18/22 -- 21
    PA: 18/22/-/- -- 23
    RC: 20/21/-/- -- 26
    QR:20/18/-/- -- 21

    Bio: 19/22/21/22/22 Avg: 21
Gchem: 21/21/29(o_O)/21/20 Avg:22 (bit inflated tho cause i have no idea how I got the 29)
    Ochem: 19/22/21/29/23 Avg: 23
    PAT: 18/22/19/21/20 Avg: 20
    RC: 21/19/21/24/22 Avg: 21
QR: I didn't do any on BC

    Real: BIO 22/ Gchem 20/ Ochem 21/ PAT 22/ RC 22/ QR 20

I would say bootcamp is pretty spot on. I think my bootcamp avgs are inflated a little tho cause the 29's I got. I thought I failed those cause I had to guess so many. I think I just got lucky.

I have heard a lot of good things about Qvault, but decided that i would try my luck with destroyer bio instead. I never got to doing any of the questions lol, but i did skim 50 or so answers two night before my exam. If i had more time between finishing my bio review and my test, i would definitely have used Qvault!

I only used the BIO portion of it and it was amazing. My DAT felt like another Qvault test. It was very representative in terms of structure.

How about in terms of easiness? I heard that scores wise BC is more representative of what you might get

You can check my breakdown for my scores in BC and Qvault compared to the real thing. Qvault was a little harder but the questions on my real thing seemed more like Qvault questions than anything else.

I feel so much better after reading this. My dat is in 2 weeks and my bootcamp scores are
    Bio 19/19/20/18
    GC 19/18/23 / 24
    OC 19/18/18
    PAT 19/19/19/20/19

I feel like I know the material but I just need to keep taking practice tests to have them all in my mind. what do you think about my scores? I'm shooting for a 21+

Honestly there is no correlation between any 3rd party test prep and the real DAT. Remember, these practice tests by prep companies aren't made by anyone associated with the DAT.
