Hi all!

Quick question on this.

So I just took my first orgo practice exam and got 22 (27/30). Shoudlnt the score be a lot higher though? Or does bootcamp scale? Or the DAT in general??

Most likely.

Both have a scale. I think the only recent scale available from an official DAT is from the 2009 exam.

Correct. Sometimes a score of 30 is not even possible.

You cannot tell for sure. I asked a professor of mine a while back and his answer was: each testing center (ada MCAT sat GRE etc...) Uses a different algorithm to score the test. It's based on a lot of factors: how many student took the test, the difficulty of the test etc... The ada used to include the percentages sometimes a score of 21 will be 90% sometimes a score of 25 will be 80%.
Also note that it's impossible to score 30 on each section. The most you'll see on sdn is 2 30's. So bootcamp and other softwares are merely an estimate.
