boring spring break

next week, while all of my friends will be frolicing in their new bikinis on the warm and sandy beaches of panama city, miami, mazatlan, etc. i will be in my bedroom, wearing my lambchop p.j.s, studying for the mcat. i'd like to take my "kaplan comprehensive mcat study giude - with cd-rom" and shove it up their perfectly tanned butts. 😡 😛

I totally understand what ur feeling....all my friends are going to bahamas while i'll be at home doing nothing but studying for the mcat... but im glad that i have a whole week to actually study for the mcat instead of squeezing it in b/w classes and mid-terms and all....so dont worry...ur hard work will pay off! :wink:

I as well will make you feel better. I must be 1 of maybe 20 people staying in the dorms, everyone else has vacated and it's very quiet. All off to Mexico, Florida, Punta Caba wherever that is, and I'm here with massive papers to write, MCAT studying, homework, lab work and no fun to look forward to. Well, I'll stop whining 🙂 I had fun all last year so I guess this is the price I pay!

This spring break I get to go up to girls and say "I am in med school!" (well I am accepted, close enough to being in, right?)

i think we should have a tropical theme party over in moos tower. we can turn the heater up to 80F and pretend we are somewhere closer to the equator...sound good?
my driveway is currently a skating rink. i slipped taking the trash out this morning!!! not a good way to start a monday🙁

the other day when i got home, i almost crashed into the garage cause of the freaking ice. the driveway goes down towards the house and i couldn't stop.

i'm going to be gone this weekend, but i'll be free after that.except for my job.

I do feel your pain. I am up to my freaking eyeballs in Embryology class notes. I am so buried, that this week is not going to be long enough.

I feel you pain, i know it sucks, but dont even think about that. Focus on the mcats and think about how well you will do, and that will give you extra motivation to study. Also, i hope its sunny and warm in the bahamas 🙂

On-campus for my final spring break, too. Campus IS pretty dead. Though I love the commotion and crowds, kinda relaxing to have just a few friends around and be able to sleep before 1am!

Not sure what sucks more, being in the beautiful weather of Florida and NOT being able to go to the beach (no car, doing research most of the week) or just not being in FL at all... Guess I could go to the pool one of these afternoons. Then it wouldn't be so bad. Yea, it defintely is worst for the northerners. Sorry, leorl and the rest :wink:

I have NEVER gone anywhere cool for spring break and I'm graduating in May. I've always had some sort of huge project, test, paper, etc due right after the break. This year is the one year that I don't have any big obligations and what am I doing?? Saving money because I have hardly any and will be renting a new apartment on my own in May and I don't even have a job yet. Why can't loans come in may?! Grrr. Oh and my boyfriend attends a different college than i and we have never had the same spring break week. He is off right now and I'm off in a few weeks. Stupid schools!! 😡

this is very difficult for me. i grew up in florida so spring break was kind of year round for me🙂 2 years ago my family moved to the FROZEN TUNDRA (also known as minnesota), and i can't stand it here. there's no ocean, no theme parks (camp snoopy does not count as a theme park), no wamrth. it's a completely different lifestyle...even the people are different.
i suppose the only thing that comforts me is that i'll be rewarded for all of my hard work april 20 when i take the mcat.
