Hey all!
I've been recently interested in AEGD programs in Boston and was hoping to ask you guys some questions. I noticed that there arent any recent information on Boston AEGD programs so I thought I'd ask!
Just to give some info, I graduated about 2 years ago and have been working in private practice as a general dentist. I am hoping to enter 2020-2021 program anywhere in the Boston area. I did my dental school in Canada and currently practicing in Canada as well. I did however pass the NDBE part 1/2.
1) I didnt see AEGD program listed in Boston University's website. Do they not have an AEGD program?
2) I saw Tufts and NYU Langone (2 sites) in Boston for AEGD. Are there any more that I missed?
3) How competitive are AEGD programs in general? (I couldnt find out how many are accepted at the Boston site for NYU for example)
4) What exactly are they looking for in an AEGD candidate? For example, does research, marks in school, volunteer work, letters all matter, just like a residency program?
5) Would they be interested in accepting someone who has been out ofschool for 3-4 years?
6) Because I have been out of school for 2-3 years, I've lost touch with the professors from my school. I was wondering who I should ask for letters?
Thanks again so much for your help guys! I really appreciate it!
