So I called Boston U. today to see if they received my check (The previous one was lost in their office) and they tell me it never arrived. This is the 2nd time this has happened!!! I checked the address after the first one was lost and it was correct. Both checks were sent certified mail and both were signed for and delivered to the office of admissions, but apparently they just get a kick out of losing my checks and pissing me off. So my question is should I spend another $25 to stop payment of this check and send another or just not even bother with Boston anymore?
 
Don't bother. Boston U likes to reject alot of people.

Do a search on this school and their addmissions office; isn't there a thread: "most annoying admissions offices" from last year?

Brother, that really stinks. I would check the bank and if you have online checking see if you can print out the cashed check. They might suddenly find your paperwork after all, if you do. 😉

Altho, you would think the signed for paperwork would tell you something too ...
 
Next time, send the check in a certified letter. Somebody has to sign in order to receive the letter. If they still lose it, then it's their bureaucratic fault and you have proof.

That is what I did......Twice
 
since both times you tried sending it via certified mail didn't work, why don't you try sending it regular mail? 😉

and u know that it takes a few days to have all the information up to date on their computer, right? 🙂
 
my visit to BU a few years ago was the absolute worst among my many interviews. for example: after the tour, they made me wait about 3 hours for the "interview."

I'd add a few other examples, but I would inevitably end up violating the TOS with foul language.

I'd have to agree that every single interview I've had has been great.. with the exception of BU. 🙁
 
screw BU

their check is 100 dollars. you stop payment again and its gonna cost 150 total. who knows if they do it again.

unless this is a school you would really want to go to....

i mirror the rest of these guys on here and say FU BU.

just my ho.....honest opinion that is.
