Just out of curiosity I asked a Physiatrist at the hospital I am doing my preliminary year at about botox injections... We ended up talking about compensation and she told me that it is a very lucractive and EASY procedure. This may sound inflated, but she said that BOTOX shots for spasticity pays up to $4000!!! Is that true??? Is anyone out there in the know??? I just can't believe that such a simple procedure pays that much...

That's probably for a very complicated series of injections. I'd imagine for more simple spasticity management, the reimbursement is considerably less---although quite good when compared to other procedures. Relatedly, phenol injections and motor-point injections pay well too.

max limit for botox per sitting is 400 unit (around 2000 USD).

very difficult to justify to insurances but works beautifuly in good hands

make sure you get exposure to it as well as EMG guided botox for neck musculature. it is a lot of fun.
