I tried pretty hard to get MDT or Axonics to let me do them or even just battery swaps. They wouldn’t let me as a pain doc. Now there is a big urology group that does them and I don’t have a reason to do it.
Thanks. Yeah these companies are oddly territorial about this. They don’t hesitate to slut out their pain neuromod tech (IR doing SCS) but they seem to draw the line here. If I can break through I’ll let you know.

It seems like there’s no rep support for the bladder stim after it goes in and there isn’t much in the way of maintenance. It’s a much different model than what we are used to. I have a few patients who have had theirs removed. Maybe they don’t want pain doctors calling and bugging their reps are adjusting them.
