I wasn't planning on it for Basics since part of my reason for running it is for the nooblets to play. @cubsrule4e would have to answer for Bowling.

No sidecars, noobs are ready to go! Plus it would decrease the number of players. But if they arent comfortable, basics can run first to get more experience.

Just favorite numbers! Some games have PMs between players based on roster position, so sometimes people will sign up next to players they want to be able to PM with too.

Hybrid means the game starts at 36/12 and at some point may accelerate to 12/12, usually near the end of the game.

The numbers are just kind of a tradition thing, or favorite numbers, etc.

The hybrid cycles starts at 36/12 to give plenty of time for evaluation and people who are busy early in the game. Once there are just a handful of players left the cycle switches to 12 hour day and night since theres much less talking and participation so that the game doesnt stall out and get boring just waiting around.

I will say that if people aren't like, dying to play a basics game right now, I can always run it ~later~ to give preference to things that have been on the "ready to go" list longer. Especially since I've got the 10th anniversary game coming up soon. I wanted to offer it in case the nooblets wanted it as a transitional game to playing with everyone, but if they're ready to jump into our more typical role madness stuff then it doesn't bother me to postpone.

SDN is a bitch about all kinds of posts lately. I was trying to edit the OP to reflect that I'd be fine postponing Basics for later on if there isn't a lot of interest right now, but it won't let me.
