At what point are activities considered box checking? If they were started 6mo before the cycle? 1 year? Does it make a difference if I have already done many other activities (volunteering, work, etc.) throughout my entire academic career?

From my understanding it might look that way if you cram 3 months before the cycle. But I think if you continue that activity you started 3 mo before the cycle then it will be ok
