Do any of you ever see patients who look like they're borderline when they are on EtOH but then these symptoms remit when they're sober? I have patients who are long-term sub abusers that look bpd when they're intoxicated and report little to no bpd sxs when sober.... they usually claim they drink because they get anxious...it's hard to look back at their history because it is so peppered with etoh-related phases...

In vino veritas?

Ever see? How about see 3x/week...more if I'm on call.

I've seen all manner of substance induced personality disorders, and have been tempted to create the diagnosis on some occassions.
